EXCEPTIONAL, CUSTOM-MADE CROSSOVERS

Kudos’ unique drivers are custom designed in collaboration with leading Norwegian experts, SEAS. The X3 features the same tweeter as its ‘baby brother’ the X2, but marries it with a new 18cm mid/bass driver for extended bass, housed in a cast chassis for excellent stability. The drivers are carefully matched and precisely aligned to work seamlessly as one.

 

LOW-ORDER CROSSOVER AND MINIMAL
DESIGN FOR A PURER SOUND

The purer the signal, the truer the sound. A Kudos loudspeaker preserves a clean and clear audio signal by favouring a minimal design with our trademark, low-order crossover. The X series’ superb quality components, including Mundorf inductors and resistors, and ClarityCap capacitors, are tailored specifically for Kudos to stringent tolerances.

INTERIOR DESIGN

The X3’s cabinet is constructed from 18mm high density MDF specifically chosen for its acoustic properties, and is carefully tuned to minimise cabinet colouration and time smear. The reflex port is situated on the bottom of the cabinet so that the plinth then provides a fixed boundary gap for the port to work optimally, as well as providing additional stability.

FIXED BOUNDARY BASS REFLEX LOADING

Since bass plays such a powerful role in how we hear music, our X series pays particular attention to delivering superior sound at the all-important lower end. The X3’s fixed boundary bass reflex loading is key to a more agile, nuanced, textured and detailed bass reproduction.

    I have been blown away by the quality and quantity of sound these units provide. Having only had them for 1 month they are bedding in and sounding even better. I am so impressed by the bass depth and response from the floorstander. The soundstage is immense. I can’t fault these speakers. What an excellent UK manufacter of Speakers. We do make the best hifi in the world.

    The right speakers for now.

    I love their classic look and feel. They are looking great in any home environment, not flashy at all and really well made. The sound is great, although due to my squared Room size I have to move them very far forward to get the best out of them. But the space and detail as well as how deep they go is amazing. Turning them up really looud is also a joy, especially with older recordings thet lack the punch.

    Kudos X3 Speakers

    I bought my speakers 6 months ago as part of a planned update of my system and i waited a few months after buying my new amp etc before doing so. I noticed an improvement in several aspects of the sound that i was getting from the beginning and i was sure then that i had made the correct choice. I would say that the speakers are slightly further from the wall than i would have liked but that is down to my room dynamics. The speakers are well made and the covers are easily removed which suits me as i prefer to listen with them off. They have a greater warmth now that they have been enjoyed for some time and i would tell anyone buying a pair of these to be patient with running in as i found that the lower frequencies took quite some time to become smooth and rich….. longer than i expected.
    They are excellent speakers and i am very pleased with my set up. I would also like to mention the team at Cymbiosis leicester for their services. Great advice, unhurried & Logical.

    Had these speakers for a couple of years now paired with a Naim amplifier and I love them. I have found myself listening to types of music that I wouldn’t have before because they sound so good. I use them nearly every day so they have been great value for money.

    THEY SOUND GREAT WITH A VERY SOPHISTICATED SOUND.
    VERY MUSICAL SPEAKERS THAT ARE JUST AT HOME IN MY HIFI SET UP.

    Yes, simply perfect with my Naim system. I rate them as probably the best speakers I have ever owned in a lifetime of buying hi fi from the early 1970’ s to date. Good value too, given the careful construction and finish.

    Very good, well balanced, living room friendly speakers

    Been using the Kudos X3 as my main speakers for over 5 years now and they serve me very well on a daily basis.
    The speakers are compact, work well when placed relatively close to a rear wall and blend into my room with the white paintwork.
    The X3s are driven by the excellent Naim SuperUniti, playing anything from Rock to Classic to TV and movies. I found the sound the most balanced to my ears when I test drove the Kudos against several other big brand names.

    Overall very satisfied with my purchase and will consider another Kudos when it’s time to upgrade!
