TITAN 606

You’re serious about your music and ready to invest in soul-stirring sound. Great. The Titan 606 will add a subtle touch of modernist class to your room while conjuring up the commanding soundstage you crave.

EXCEPTIONAL, CUSTOM-MADE DRIVERS

The Titan series features drive units crafted exclusively for Kudos by world-leading specialists SEAS. All four Titans share the same superb K3 tweeter, a version of a legendary SEAS unit specially re-engineered to tailor its capabilities for the Titans. A two-way design, the 606’s twin mid/bass drivers are brand new and unique to this loudspeaker. All drivers are precisely matched and aligned to work together seamlessly, delivering an effortless ‘just right’ sound. When you hear it, you’ll know it.

LOW-ORDER CROSSOVERS AND MINIMAL DESIGN FOR PURER SOUND

The purer the signal, the truer the sound. A Kudos loudspeaker preserves a clean and clear audio signal by favouring a minimal design with our trademark, low-order crossover. The Titan series’ superior quality components are tailored specifically for Kudos to stringent tolerances. They include Mundorf’s MResist Supreme resistors and air-core inductors, and ClarityCap’s unique CopperConnect technology capacitors.

INTERIOR DESIGN

The best designs are a marriage of form and function. The Titans’ modernist design blends effortlessly into the contemporary home. Concealed within, however, is highly a complex system of differential panel resonance control. While keeping a rigorously tight grip on any and all unwanted vibrations, this smart system gives full and free rein to the natural dynamics of your music.

ISOBARIC WITH FIXED BOUNDARY LOADING

Bass is key to how we hear music, so our Titan series goes above and beyond in ensuring superior sound at the all-important lower end. The Titan 606’s isobaric and fixed boundary bass reflex loading is cleverly engineered to deliver a more agile, nuanced, textured and detailed bass reproduction.

ACTIVE CONFIGURATION (UPGRADEABLE)

The Titan series is configured to allow simple by-passing of the internal crossover for active operation with leading electronics including Linn Exakt, Devialet Expert, Naim SNAXO and Exposure VXN. Upgrading to active operation enables a variety of performance and personalisation enhancing capabilities.

What others say

"It is also the ultimate expression of what a Hi-Fi should be and a benchmark that I have no idea how I might top. This is unquestionably a Best in Class."

AVForums - Best in Class

"Sometimes good things are hidden from our view. The floorstanding Titan 606, for example, uses a second bass driver in isobaric configuration as a clever means of reducing the cabinet size."

    Balanced and refined

I chose the Titan 606s after extensive listening with other speakers in the price range. They were without doubt the most balanced, refined and natural-sounding by comparison. The others were impressive but the 606s actually gave me goosebumps they were so good.

Mid-range has air and space around the music giving natural soundstage and imaging, bass is deep and solid without being boomy, and treble and highs are accurate and smooth. There is good tone and timbre to vocals, instruments (especially acoustic) have texture, and used with GutWire speaker cables reveal all the subtle nuances that make listening almost intimate, as though being played live – the other day I even looked up just to check!

Most impressive is their overall balance – they present the music as it actually is without any colouration. There is not one type of music or quality of recording that I ever feel the sound needs adjusting or tweaking. All music just sounds tonally real and true.

The 606s are the real deal, the complete package. Properly ‘grown up’ and refined. I look forward to living with them for many years to come.

    Great speakers.

Great speakers which compliment my Naim system. Relatively unfussy re placement. Clear open airy and detailed sound with great timing and extended articulate bass. Build quality and finish very good. Look better in the flesh!

    Superb T606

I’ve been using these for just over 12 months and they are fantastic the bass so tight and controlled plus the music just seems to flow out of these speakers in such a natural way.

They integrate well into the room and don’t appear to be to fussy on room position in fact they are closer to the rear wall than my previous speakers which was rather surprising. Low level listening is truly outstanding. I am running them with a NAP 300dr in passive mode.

You cannot fault the fit, finish and attention to detail in the build of these speakers I chose the Tineo finish and it matches the other room furniture very well.

I am extremely impressed with the all round ability of these speakers they are truly superb indeed.

    Fantastic 606

Running them passively, after burning them in, the music became more detailed and more exiting then my previous PMC speakers, certainly had more bass.

I also attended a Kudos Active day and listened to the Naim Snaxo With Kudos Titan speakers. I liked what I heard and chose this route, ending up with a Snaxo 242 specifically tuned for the Kudos Titan 606 speakers.

Now, after burning in the new cable and additional amplifier, I thought that they were good before, but all I can now say is wow!!! Not only has the soundstage opened up and got bigger, not just clearer positioning of instruments, but with the drums, you can now tell the position of each of the drums and cymbals. The bass is now cleaner and more detailed, particularly with the Double Bass, as I listen to a lot of Jazz.

Aesthetically, the Titan range Is a very good looking speaker and pleasing on they eye. Additionally, Kudos made mine in Oak which matches the rest of my system.

I’ve now re-discovered a lot of my Vinyl which I can only describe as happy days.
